Digital Storytelling

Designing a multi-location digital experience to spotlight Booz Allen’s technology and innovation

Challenge

As Booz Allen’s Air Force Tech Accelerator wrapped a year of breakthrough work in AI, data, and digital modernization, leadership needed a way to showcase its impact, educate internal teams, and reinforce the accelerator’s strategic value. Traditional briefings couldn’t capture the scale, creativity, or energy of the work. We needed a digital-first experience that united distributed teams, engaged Air Force customers, and told a cohesive story of innovation and future vision.

Solution

I led the Digital Tech Showcase, a large-scale, end-of-year hybrid experience streamed across multiple geographic hubs and virtual platforms. Designed as both a celebration and a forward-looking narrative, the event brought the accelerator’s technology portfolio to life through immersive storytelling and multimedia production.
Our approach focused on:

  • Designing a unified digital experience that connected physical hubs and remote participants through synchronized visuals, live sessions, and branded content.

  • Crafting the story arc to highlight accomplishments from the year while framing a compelling vision for the future of Air Force technology.

  • Building the creative ecosystem, producing all event assets including motion graphics, invitations, presentation decks, digital signage, and virtual broadcast templates.

  • Leading live media production, managing scripts, run-of-show timelines, and on-site media teams to ensure smooth execution across time zones.

  • Extending engagement post-event, producing recap videos, highlight reels, photography, and an original audio series to sustain momentum across internal and external channels.

  • Facilitating live discussion as event moderator, guiding conversations between tech leaders, subject matter experts, and Air Force stakeholders.

My Role

  • Project Manager & Creative Lead: Directed planning, creative production, and stakeholder coordination across leadership, tech SMEs, and event teams.

  • Event Moderator: Hosted and facilitated live conversations across hubs and virtual audiences.

  • Media & Brand Director: Led storytelling strategy and design direction across pre-, live-, and post-event content.

  • Hybrid Experience Designer: Shaped the customer journey through a distributed digital event ecosystem.

  • Post-Event Strategist: Oversaw recap content, media editing, and communication rollout.

Impact

  • Showcased the accelerator’s achievements, reinforcing its value and securing continued investment for the following year.

  • Educated internal teams on the firm’s technology strategy, fostering shared understanding and collaboration.

  • Engaged tech teams and leadership, giving them a platform to present solutions and connect with Air Force stakeholders.

  • Produced branded multimedia and digital assets that product teams now use for marketing, recruiting, and sales enablement.

  • Strengthened Booz Allen’s position as a trusted innovation partner driving the future of defense technology.

Takeaway

By blending digital storytelling, production, and experience design, I transformed the Digital Tech Showcase into a connected, educational brand experience—one that celebrated innovation, elevated visibility, and extended Booz Allen’s impact far beyond the event itself.
